Fintech"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>EBA: consultation on amendments to the RTS on the assignment of risk weights to specialized lending exposures under the Supervisory Slotting Criteria Approach<\/h4>\n<p>On 7 May 2026, the European Banking Authority (\u201c<strong>EBA<\/strong>\u201d) launched a public consultation on the proposed amendments to Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021\/598, containing the regulatory technical standards (\u201c<strong>RTS<\/strong>\u201d) on the assignment of risk weights to specialized lending exposures under the Supervisory Slotting Criteria Approach (\u201c<strong>SSCA<\/strong>\u201d), developed pursuant to Article 153(9) of Regulation (EU) 2013\/575 (the \u201c<strong>CRR<\/strong>\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the amendments proposed by the EBA are aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>aligning the Delegated Regulation with the amendments introduced by Regulation (EU) 2024\/1623 (\u201c<strong>CRR 3<\/strong>\u201d);<\/li>\n<li>inserting into the RTS specific references to ESG factors, to clarify how such factors are to be taken into account in the application of the supervisory slotting criteria;
