Sofia De Cristofaro

Sofia has extensive experience in banking and finance law, especially as regards structured finance, securitisation transactions and the acquisition of performing and non-performing assets.

In recent years, she has specialised in transactions involving the creation of platforms for the management of underlying real estate assets, both for reinvestment and investment purposes by originator banks and third-party investors, as well as in the disposal of assets by distressed banks.

Furthermore, she advises clients on ancillary contractual issues to such transactions (e.g. servicing agreements), as well as on specific position/asset management issues that arise from time to time.

Throughout her career, she has also dealt with corporate and real estate finance, debt restructuring transactions and asset management. Most recently, she has assisted clients in transactions with investment funds regarding the investment in impaired loan portfolios with underlying real estate.
